"God is in the details." —Van Gogh
No guess work here. You'll get an idea of how Eileen
creates an environment for you.
LIGHTING
Eileen prefers full house and full stage lights as much as
possible, dimming only the screen for her computer-generated
presentation (if such is used). She moves across the stage and
occasionally into the audience during her program.
A follow spot is recommended for audiences over 1,000. In
all cases, the speaking area requires good lighting.
AUDIO/VISUAL
Microphone: Eileen prefers a hand-held, cordless microphone
unless it is a small group.
Computer: For PowerPoint presentations, Eileen will bring
her IBM compatible laptop and a technician should be on hand to
set up whatever equipment you'll use to show it. The laptop
should be on a table on the stage where Eileen can advance the
slides.
Music: Music is generated via CD-Rom. Please have one off
stage as part of the house system.
STAGE SETTING
A lectern is not used and should be removed if possible. If
it is required for other presentations before or afterwards,
please recess it so there is free movement in front of it. The
head table should be invited to join the audience during her
presentation.
1. Stairs, without arm rails, are front center.
2. Audience seating—Environment is essential to give
members both freedom of movement, ability to see each other as
well as the stage and if they need to leave the room in case of
emergency.
Eileen will also come in early and work with you and or the hotel crew on room
setup, lighting, and a/v/ checks. Thanks so much for attending to
these important, not-so-small details!
MISCELLANEOUS
Introduction: Eileen will provide you with a fully customized
introduction before the event.
Handouts: Once finalized, depending upon the program, a master handout
will be provided for the meeting planner to duplicate.
Other materials: Groups often buy Eileen's books or resource materials
as a gift to audience members. In some cases, these materials can
be personalized for the specific audience. Contact her for more
details.
Lodging: Most of the time, at least one overnight stay is required.
Please arrange a non-smoking room.
